Social Mashup is a one-day interactive conference to be held on 15th April, 2013 for individuals who are passionate about creating social change. The aim is to accelerate more individuals on their social entrepreneurial journey by providing them with personalized solutions to their challenges.

Meet the Speakers
Devyani Srinivasan (founder of Probex Management Consulting)
Devyani is an impact assessment consultant. She is also a mentor to this year’s cohort of Dasra Social Impact, and is advising Avanti Fellows on their impact assessment strategy. Prior to becoming a consultant she founded the Knowledge Management Program at Villgro, which consists of research, learning and monitoring and evaluation.
Manuela Mueller (Edge)
Manuela Müller has worked in leadership and community development initiatives in seven countries - in edge she is currently responsible for the global Growth Business Associate program, a placement initiative aiming to connect high-profile junior talent with impact businesses.
Varun Pawar (Edge)
Varun Pawar has three years of talent development experience in AIESEC India and in edge. As edge India coordinator, he creates awareness of impactful career opportunities amongst the student community and coordinates job openings and candidate screening for Impact Businesses in India.
Zainab Kakal (founder of The Blue Yonder)
Zainab is the Catalyst at TBYA. Trained in sustainable development, journalism, and social entrepreneurship, Zainab is TBYA’s triple bottom line specialist. She has been declared a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum.
Mary Ellen Matsui (Atma)
Having successfully donned multiple hats at Atma, Mary Ellen became Executive Director in 2011 when Founder-Director Hayley Bolding transitioned out. Under her leadership, Atma evolved from a founder centric organisation to one with a clear management structure. Supported by a 11 member strong team, Atma currently has 12 Partner Organisations with plans to expand to 40 by March 2015.
Mohini Bhavsar (Dimagi)
Mohini is a Senior Field Manager at Dimagi. She has been implementing mobile technology for community health programs all over India for the past two years. She has worked with numerous international organizations in India to design, build and deploy mobile health applications and develop training programs for community health workers in India.

Aarti Wig - Grameen Creative Lab
Aarti is passionate about social business as a tool to solve our world’s biggest problems. A social business, according to Muhammad Yunus, is a problem solving business, born out of two human needs: the need to be creative, and the need to help and connect with our fellow human beings. She truly believes that we can create the world we want, if we believe in it badly enough. Aarti heads the Grameen Creative Lab in India - an organization co-founded by Muhammad Yunus to accelerate the idea of social business, globally. Maria Clara Pinheiro - Ashoka
Maria is passionate about working with people to do big things and she believes there’s nothing better that seeing people growing and realizing their full potential individually and collectively. She wishes to see a world with more enablers bringing people together to co-create and to co-implement ideas. Currently, Maria heads the Diaspora initiative at Ashoka in the US and leads the Ashoka expansion to South Asia and Greece.
Srey Bairiganjan - New Ventures India
Srey is passionate about working in the environmental enterprise mentoring space. He wants to work for a tomorrow where he can see more social and environmental enterprises listed in NASDAQ, NYSE and BSE than the current lot of enterprises. Srey currently heads the research and environmental enterprise evaluation for the New Ventures India program. He has authored reports such as “Power to the People: Investing in Clean Energy for the Base of the Pyramid” and “Bringing Clean Energy to Rural India”. He has also been a panelist at diverse leading world forums such as the G20 - Inclusive Business Workshop and Rio +20.
Cristina Fernandes - Villgro
Cristina has 8 years of experience in the non profit sector in Brazil and is passionate about social mobilization and community empowerment. She believes collaboration can be the key to the most efficient and effective path toward a better and fairer world. She tries to inspire people to find a consistent way of life, where happiness, professional success and a better world go hand in hand. Currently, she is at Villgro and recently launched the blog Mercado de Impacto targeting Brazilian readers interested in Social Business.
Pooja Warier - Founder of Unltd India
Pooja is our daily dose of inspiration at Unltd India’s office in Mumbai. Recognized as one of the 10 upcoming female social entrepreneurs in India, Pooja Warier is the co-founder and Director of UnLtd India, Bombay Connect and Journeys for Change. Previously she worked with a range of organizations and initiatives like the World Social Forum & M.V. Foundation.
Rishabh Gupta, Founder of Let’s Intern
Rishabh is a fun entrepreneur passionate about creation. He wishes to break the barriers which society and mind puts in front of everyone. Currently, he runs letsintern - enabling college students to start young by connecting them to opportunities. Letsintern is a funded and award winning start up impacting more than 10,000 students, spread across India with many fortune 500 clients.
Raj Janagam, founder of Unltd Hyderabad
Raj is passionate about working with start-up social entrepreneurs as he knows only they hold the key to sustainable development challenges in our country. He is seeking to inspire people take charge of social problems around them irrespective how much time they have out of their busy lives. Raj is currently starting UnLtd Hyderabad which is an incubation system for supporting start-up social entrepreneurs across the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Chandni Parekh
Chandni loves putting together information that might be useful and that is otherwise not available or easily accessible. She enjoys connecting people with those who might be able to help them with their social or other initiatives. Her Twitter initiative @FundACause is an online archive of individuals and organisations in India that are seeking and offering money.
