About me:Ever since traveling to India for an internship during my Bachelor studies in Business Administration it has been on my heart to contribute to the sustainable development of India. Coming back to the region two years later while working in India’s neighboring country Bangladesh with the German development cooperation strengthened my desire to work with and in the region to support the great potential of its people. While finishing my Masters in Entrepreneurship and Economics in the Netherlands for the last year I found with Enviu.org a great platform for this desire. Enviu aims to create and empower start-ups with a social and environmental impact and therefore I joined one of their latest start-ups called 4mebeta.

Venture DescriptionAs 4me we want to fight poverty and create sustainable growth by empowering artisans to improve their own livelihoods. We know there are great artisans in all emerging economies making beautiful and unique products however they often struggle to get a fair price for their products. We want to change this by connecting them to an aware buyer community in Western countries. For this, we have just launched a very lean version of our new online platform, currently called 4mebeta. At the moment we are scouting for artisans and partners in three focus countries - Morocco, Mexico and India. For this mission I am in Mumbai to meet up, discuss and shape the concept of 4me with local artisans and help them to get first products online.
